First, get a lawyer.

Second, how did they say they served your husband? It should be in the court's file. Either an affidavit that service was mailed and a return receipt signed by your husband. Or, an affidavit saying he was personally served at such and such address. If it says he was personally served at an address at which HE DID NOT RESIDE at the time, then the service is ineffective. If service is ineffective, and so long as your husband made no appearance in the lawsuit, then the Court never gained personal jurisdiction over your husband. If the Court never gained personal jurisidiction, then any and all judgments resulting from that lawsuit are void. Be sure to contact a lawyer about this, as it can be tricky to challenge personal jurisdiction properly.
