Thats what I would suggest. Your house is paid for, and you undoubtedly have a lot of unused equity in it. Talk to your local banker or a real estate attorney about a home equity or a line of credit against your house. The interest rates will probably be much lower than your credit cards (especially if no "over limit" fees). Plus only pay one payment instead of several. Also, a mortgage against your house through the equity loan will be a deterance against potential lawsuits, depending on the circumstances. poor lawyer, Esq.
