I'm just another "patient" here, but why would anyone exchange credit card debt for a debt where a bank could foreclose on the home? Credit Card debt can put a hurtin' on you but it cant make you lose your house. A home equity loan to pay creditcard debt is like jumping from the frying pan into the fire, seems to me. You think it will be a snap to pay the one small loan payment, but you don't know what could happen in your future. I would never put my hard-earned home, all those years of paying, at the slightest risk to pay off credit card debt.
