Was a lawsuit actually filed against you?
Check with your County courthouse.
What is the name of the CA who is trying to get you to "agree" to a default judgment when you were way past the SOL? You need a lawyer to help you, try legal aid if you can't afford one, or check my website for the link to the NACA website.
You may have grounds for a counter suit for violations of the FDCPA.
