Well- If a judgment is obtained within the Fl. SOL for filing, then the original 1st delinquency date is the starting point of the 7 year "reporting" SOL, and the judgment filing date is the beginning starting point of the new 7 year judgment reporting SOL. Unfortunately, since the renewal of the judgment in Fl is a new filing with a new filing #, if it is renewed it will start another 5 year reporting cycle.That is why on judgments and BK's on credit reports, the original underlying debt is long gone before the filed judgment or BK comes off.
