Hi,
I live in NY state and have been paying on a judgement for about a year. I missed one payment by accident, really. Now thay will no longer accept my payments and plan to garnish my wages. Is this at all avoidable? My credit report is much better now and I would like to avoid this action. I have written a letter explaining my mistake and asking to resume my previous payment schedule. The lawyers seem to be taking a hard line on this. Any help would be appreciated.
