Ordinarily,I would suggest paying the small debts, as it is not worth the hassle, however, in your case I would suggest you do as little as possible.since they may attempt to consolidate the accounts, and any recognition on your part that they are dealing with someone who has verified even a $49. debt,by paying it, might give them some leverage on the rest.
