The question again involves "personal jurisdiction." If you once lived in Nevada, then Nevada has personal jurisdiction over you. That means that the Courts of Nevada can render judgments against you. If you have had no "contact" (as defined by the courts) with a state, then that state does not have personal jurisdiction over you and cannot render a judgment against you. Determining whether a state has personal jurisdiction can be very difficult sometimes. Sometimes there can be personal jurisdiction without having ever set foot in the state; other times you can be in the state for some time (like on a trip or vacation) and the state doesn't have jurisdiction. You should ALWAYS consult an attorney when sued in a court out of your home state. poor lawyer, Esq.
