I know SOL questions are answered all over this board and I've read most of them but for my own peace of mind let me ask again. I have approx $15k in cc debt that overwhelmed me and went into default (became delinquent and remained so)about 5 yrs ago. Fl. sol is 4 yrs. I wanted a free cr so I applied for a cc online knowing I wouldnt get it. I then got a free cr from experian as a 'consolation prize'. Stupid, I know but it's after the fact now. A couple of CC were watching for activity on cr and have started calling again after 2 years of silence. Do they do this hoping I'm not aware of sol? Seems like everyone knows about it. I'm thinking maybe they have a plan to debunk a sol claim. the cr status of one cc is as follows:
"collection as of 6-1999, 5-1999
150 days as of 4-1999, 8-1998
120 days as of 3-1999, 7-1998
90 days as of 2-1999, 6-1998
60 days as of 6-1998, 5-1998
30 days as of 12-1998
remains on record until 12-2005"
Am I right to use 5-98 as the date I first defaulted and count 4 yrs from that date?
That last entry "30 days...12-98" seems strange with a prior date of 5-98 listed above it. Shouldnt the dates continue to future dates9 8,99,00,01 etc. I want to make sure I'm reading this correctly. Sorry for so long, thanks for taking the time to read it through.
