Thanx scott i live in maine.I was a little frustrated when i got the letter from that law firm and iguess after i've calmed down and read it again it doesnt actually say they will take me to court but seems to imply it,but the ca has threatend to take me to court over the phone.I'm sure they will convienently lose those recordings.I've been reading over old post and I hope they havent some how reaged my account.In the past I have tried to send payments to my origanal debtor but refused to deal with th ca and tried my best to ignore them,as they seemed to let a 500dollar debt get out of hand.Also they tried telling me the sol started over when they bought my account.I recieved a letter some time ago stating that fist usa visa the origanal debtor was being sued for something and I might be eligable for money back but the ca said this had nothing to do with my debt to them.I did ask them for record of payments but they said the could no provide any.Unfortunately I cant find any records of my old bills.I kept one letter from the ca offering some type of refinance,but I didnt bite.Only because they told me this would bring my credit rating from the worst to the best rating and that sounded kinda fishy to me.icalled to ask about it and the woman I talked with said I would have to try that or they would have to take me to court and I felt like I was being extorted.Unfortunately I live week to week and I cannot afford a lawyer to start my own lawsuit,but I am determined to beat this somehow.however i'm afraid they know thir stuff alot better then the average man like myself an will probably beat me on some technicality,but I wont give up without a fight and aia appreciate ur help and anyone elses help I can get . thankyou for responding so quickly sincerely william
