Does your bank have a Bill-Pay option you can direct online? That's a lot less expensive than phone-pay. I understand your romance with online payments. Nothing ever gets lost in the mail, you don't have to put in a stop payment or run a search for a lost money order ... it is indeed wonderful. It can also be hard to just save for a payment, but if you are using a bank account, try this. Sign up for your bank's online service if they have one, and for bill-pay. Buy POSTAL money orders for your weekly payments, make them payable to yourself, and deposit THOSE before making your phone payments. Check with your bank how far in advance you need to deposit. Your weekly cost for your "to be deposited" stash will be around $3 a month, and for only 2 accounts your bill-pay will never kick over the basic rate. You will have yout whole budget package for around the same cost as ONE phone payment.
