Scott, I recieved a letter yesterday from CAMCO. It was regarding something back in 1994. I called the # up to see what it was. When I asked them that I thought anything past 7 years was past the SOL, the guy said no one is going to sue me but that doesn't mean I don't still owe the money. He then said that he can settle for about half the price if I do a check by phone right there. He said if I don't he was going to send something to the credit reporting agency, not sure exactly what. I said I would have to speak to a lawyer first. Then he blew up at me saying that I don't have a lawyer because I don't pay my bills at which point I hung up on him.

This is where I started to search for info and found this site.

I have made mistakes in my life and have been responsible financially for a long time now. How much would a lawyer cost to help me clean up my history?
