Is your ex's wife admitting liability for this account? If so, have her sign an affadavit stating the facts and accepting responsibility for the bill from her late husband's estate. Then you need to file a statement along with hers that unless the creditor corrects all records and purges any and all derogatory information from your credit report, (by the way, how come you didn't KNOW it was on your credit report?)and takes back the account from any ca it has been assigned or sold to, you will sue for violation of the FCRA and Federal Privacy Protection Act. Alternatively, you need a lawyer to file a fraud charge against his estate for fraudulent use of credit and identity theft.
