That is similar to what a customer would say, but my credit card company would not risk their reputation by doing fraudulent things with a checking account. We take thousands and thousands of check drafts each day and we cleary state the date and the amount of the draft. If we do otherwise I'm sure we are breaking the law and ruining our reputation. (I say this to the customers when they tell me about a situation like that.)

And some will say "Oh, I had a bad experience once..." I say, "Oh really, with who?" .. they usually say "Oh, my cell phone or my other credit card company, etc etc" Then I come back "Well, we are not that company. We would not risk a reputation such as ours, with over 100 million customers, by handling check drafts in correctly."

And some say "Well, I don't like anyone but me getting in my checking account and messing around." I say... "We don't do anything with your check account. You give us your check # and a couple other numbers off the check (ABA,acct) and we print a check for you, so you don't have to write one out. We transfer the check to YOUR bank and they withdraw the money. I hope you trust your own bank."
