Will the CA's attny show up?

I guess I'm just taking a poll here, but I'd like to know what you all think. The CA's attny who is suing me for a credit card debt, is located about 2-1/2 hours from where the court is located and where I now live. I certainly am going to appear - will he? The amount in question is $4600 in case that makes a difference.
