What are the consequences of not paying credit card Debt. I had approximately 40,000 dollar of debt over several accounts, the largest being $20,000. All of this debt I incured before my marriage. Then I got married, then lost my job. Because my husbands income is only enough to get us by, we haven't paid on these debts for over a year. We live in Missouri. What are the possible consequences?
