The SOL I see for NC is 3 years...you didn't say what state you moved from.. Anyway the ammounts are probably to small to get sued anyway. It would be nice if you could pay what you owe and forget about it. Unfortunately that's not the way the backwards assed credit industry works. Their goal seems, not to get paid, but to make you pay as long as they can. Pay them what they want and they will still hold you in CRA prison for 7 years. Collection agencies are simply financial industry thugs who suck up any piece of trash they can find. NEVER DEAL WITH A COLLECTION AGENCY. For the low balances you owe and if you are set for living (ie you don't need to rent an apartment or buy a home) I would just eat the debts and the negative credit remarks until they fall off your report..
