Well.. the SOL hadn't even entered this 'discussion' about C&D letters and their meaning. Our opinions differ in that he says sending a C&D means NO communcation of any kind, despite any verbage that allows some form of communication, and that it is inviting lawsuits faster. I guess this is a war of opinions more than anything. Obviously, saying 'no phone calls, but mail only' DOES work because people have success with it all the time. Perhaps with some hard-a$$ CA's they do take the law literally and interpret the C&D as 'stop ALL communication', but I think the majority probably don't... and that's MY opinion :)

Just for the record, my tactic is basically 'screw you'.. LOL.. I'm rarely home, not even nights, so my phone software on my pc just records all the calls, including the caller id info (anybody want a copy its free and very good ?). When I do get home, perhaps once a week, if the messages all say 'unknown' for ID, I simply delete them, I have no time or patience to listen to their tripe and I refuse to grovel or plead with these creeps, it goes against my principles ;->. Besides, I get home once a week, I don't need that kind of aggravation. I know what they want, and I don't have the money to pay them, so what's the point ?? I'm headed for BK anyway, so its tough nuts to them all !!
