Steve says, "Does it make you feel good to have a job where you beat up single mothers and others down on their luck? Does it satisfy some sick desire you have? Did you get pregnant in the 9th grade and have to quit school, and now have to collect money for a living? Maybe you're just a total moron loser. Get a real job before you become a permanent asshole."

I love my job. I am a 19 year old male in college (so that answers your pregnancy and quit school question) making over $10 an hour, with awesome benefits, tuition reimbursement, and tons of bonuses based on performance. I honestly cannot think of a better job at my age. I do not beat up single mothers, but I do put pressure on them to bring their accounts current. I talk to people all day long that have been laid off, divorced, disabled, retired, etc. and I completely understand their situation. I also talk to people with 50,000 dollar credit card balances who have forgotten to pay their bill because of their active lifestyle. They don't find any problem writing me a 15,000 check over the phone. I also talk to people who say "F*ck off", hang up, and never even listen to our offer.... I talk to college kids who think because they are in college they don't have enough time to work. I have a full-time, 15 hour courseload, work 30 hours a week collecting, have other classes I attend 6 hours a week in my off time, I am engaged with a beautiful girl (she is a full-time priority, and I wouldnt have it any other way) and I still pay all of my credit card bills, my car payment, my car insurance, food, etc, etc. I always ask people if they are receiving unemployment, if they can borrow money, etc.

In no way am I an "asshole". I'm a very likeable person and I am concerned with my credit health and worthiness as anyone else.
