I tell ya, if she can pay up in the hallway prior to the case being called it'll be better. The other side can just dismiss the case. If it goes to a judge, the result will be a paid judgment on her cc report. A paid collection is no piece of cake but, anything with the word judgment will be worse.

Most judges in small claims court issue a written opinion a couple of weeks after trial citing the factors they used to make the decision. Nobody is going to try and shake change out her pocket.
