Credit Card Debt Issues

First of All Hi to all Posters! I just found this location, and well, as a person who has faced some of the situations some of you are in, or considering. Since I live in Florida, most likely each state, has its own set of rules governing credit card debt, and collection agencies. 1. In 1994, I got sick, and could not pay off a Choice Credit Card. Here is what they did. First, you stop making payments, and after 1 year, they will stop adding interest and sending balance statements, and then turn it over to a collection agency, where they then will try to make a settlement. Sometimes, they will make a lump sum settlement for half, or a portion thereof, or arrange payments. Since, 1984 I am still making $10 payments to the credit agency, which is handling this situation? This debt was about $6000. What is my balance now? $5000

Luckily, I had disability insurance to pay off some of my other debt at this time? Discover, got paid off, and Sears, too! 3. I just recently now, got a dun for something, (Mobil 1994, $69) which I am sure was paid off by another or hopefully, another, collection agency. This is why I found this site, looking for an internet addresss for Calvary Investments, LLC in Tempe, AZ. Supposedly, I owe $69 from a Mobil Credit Card. I still have the documentation on this agency, ACB Business Services, who was taking the payments on this credit card debt. I also have my checks, invoices, etc, to verify my payment of this account. Don't be too hasty and throw out your old receipts. You may need them for sure. Can you believe after 7-8 yrs, they have not sent any such statement, and now, all of a sudden, they say I owe $69. I got proof I don't! Hey, gang, just a little bit of knowledge goes a long way>
