i must say i have to kinda agree with ladynred on this one . i myself am a rather young female in my late 20's had a good job making pretty good money for my age than just as i thought life was great & THOUGHT i too was on top of the world i had a VERY bad accident were i could no longer work for almost a full 12 months when i too got into the nightmare of credit hell . granted it was my fault for thinking i was invincible & by getting myself into debt in the 1st place ( i always had great credit & made my payments on time ) but when your in your teens or twenties you feel like u are invincible until something tragic happens in your own life than wakeup in a hospital bed & realize im not . collector you seem smart & seem like a good person BUT bad things do happen to good people w/o ANY fault of their own . like i say alot im basically new to all this but seems to me once i became late with my payments my creditors had NO interest in what happened in my own personal saga , all they did was charge me CRAZY CRAZY late fees & interest rose from about 5.9% all the way up to about 22%( they punished me for being in an auto accident ) so there was no way i could ever get out of my situation . at the end about maybe 30 days before chargeoff they "kindly" offered to chop off 40% of my cc ballance IF id pay them off in 3 "easy" ( what a joke i was injured in bed & broke ) payments but THEY KNEW i was just now about to get outta bed from my accident & was in no condition to gain employment for many many more months to come . collector like i say YOU seem like a understanding person BUT many others ive personally had dealings with are horriable human beings and im baffled how they can sleep at night.. well just my opinion kelly .......
