I was watching Suze Orman the financial planner and she said that cancelling a credit card may actually hurt your credit score more than help it. She recommends contacting the card and letting them know you wish to cancel because of fees. Give them a chance to remove fees and then try to keep that account open. It looks good if you have an account in good standing with no balance.
