You say you are still getting statements every month from Chase? On an account they closed 16 months ago, that you haven't used for 5 years??Are you SURE it is from Chase? How can it be if you are dealing with two separate collection agencies? (or as you think, two separate "departments") I think you had better take a closer look at your paperwork. What kind of a notice, and from whom did you get "closing" te account 16 months ago.?Are the statements you are getting each month REALLY from Chase, or some CA that is using their name?
