Heres the Missouri Laws concerning garnsihment: http://www.moga.state.mo.us/statutes/c525.htm This seems to be the main statute on how much can be garnished: http://www.moga.state.mo.us/statutes/C500-599/5250030.HTM The way I read it, the most they can garnish, after withholdings, is a) 25%, b) any amount over 30 times the federal minimum wage per week(30 x 5.25 x 40 hrs= $6300), or c) if you are the head of a family (however thats defined by Missouri law), 10%. Whichever is lowest is the most they can garnish. So, unless you make over $8400 a week after withholdings, it would be either 25% or 10%, depending on if you are the head of a family. poor lawyer, esq.
