Would Judgement be on credit report

I too have been contacted by CAMCO to collect on a debt that was charged off in 1992.
My question is: If there were judgements for any of the old charge offs, would that information make it on my credit report? I have never seen any on my CR, and now all of the old info has aged. Where would I go to find out if anyone has judgements against me? Also, on CAMCO... I returned the call and the guy told me that CAMCO checks your credit and because there is an inqury on your report from them checking, banks will turn you down for a loan. What is the law on creditors making inquiries? Will banks still loan you money for a house if you have old charge offs? I know this is a lot of questions, but I did read tons of posts first! This board is a huge help for people like me that are perfect suckers waiting to be taken by the likes of CAMCO after having worked to rebuild a good CR. -eDat
