I've been unemployed for over a year, some of my credit cards have been deliquent for 8 to 10 months.

I should have filed for Chapter 7, but my optimism that my next job was just a few weeks away, then it became months away.

I now find myself employed, and can start paying $1200 a month for ~ $59k of debt (all unsecured credit cards). Part of the problem is, most of the creditors have charged off my accounts and now some collection agencies have either been assigned or bought my debt.

I've contacted a lawyer about Chapter 7, but since I am living at a relatives and have no car payments, I have too much disposable income. I would like to get my own place again and purchase a new car (my current one is almost 10 years old).

Do I deal with the collection agencies with a payment schedule, a CCCS service, or do a chapter 13?
