I keep saying the same thing but am called sue happy. Nail em. Who cares if you get them to back off. What about all the other people they are screwing? If you have proof of the debt then go after them. unfortunely illinois is a 2 party consent state so you cannot tape then unless they give consent but hey, ask them if you can tape. If they refuse then say something like 'if you have something to hide then there is no reason to talk to you'. If they agree then they are as dumb as I know they are. The only way they will be stopped is if enough people sue them and take their money. Make them crisscross the country and show up at different city courthouses.
