Thank you WhyChat for your wonderful advice! I finally got up the nerve to speak to collector regarding debt that they have not been able to validate. I told him to stop calling my home or I would report him to the phone company, the FTC fraud hot line, and I would file a complaint with the sheriff's office. When I asked for his physical address he said I needed to contact the original creditor to get a copy of the contract. He said they bought the debt two years ago and don't have a copy of the contract. I said that I don't believe I owe ANYONE anything and that until he can prove in writing that I owe HIS company money that he needed to stop calling my home. He hung up on me. THANKS AGAIN...I won, didn't I?
