NO. At least there is no evidence beyond conjecture from just looking at the cases that were easiest to get full summaries to review.

That said, they certainly go about verifying whereabouts for service the hard way. They called my workplace demanding to speak with various managers to get an address. Why didn't they just call and ask whoever answered for the address? Hmm, guess they can't, cause they are "bill collectors" and doing something sneaky like just asking might not look good -- yeah, sure, as if we could "just tell" whoever called from dozens of others every week who just call and ask. No, gotta behave like a "bill collector" and demand the info from higher up.
