The SOL in the state where the lawsuit was actually filed will control, always.

(What the SOL really means is that no court *in this state* will permit a lawsuit to proceed that is beyong the SOL. But the SOL defense can be waived by the defendant, so its not automatic.)

(There are some exceptions to the above rule that can sometimes apply in Federal Court, but only when a case gets transferred from a Federal Court in one state to a Federal Court in another. In that situation, the SOL of the first state will be used.)
