How old is the debt(s) and when did you last pay on them? What state do you live in? Need to know before we can help. Also, have you received any letters from the collection agencies PRIOR to the "lawyers" contacting you? More than likely you're still dealing with the collection agency and they're using legal ledger to spook you. Make sure you answer the questions and help follows.
