Don't remember the name or State on the case-- perhaps one of our "legal eagles" can find it. Debtor paid OC on account that had been sold to CA, OC "lost" the payment in their system. CA sued and got a default judgment. Debtor didn't respond because he had been "assured" by OC it would be fixed. The lawsuit 2 years later to recover from the CA and vacate the judgment was lost because it was beyond the SOL for suing the OC under TILA (had to substitute OC as defendent because technically they were at fault) SO debtor wound up paying twice+ having a big legal bill and a paid judgment on his reports for 7 years.
