Taking into consideration of others credit and creditors issues, as well as the horror stories on my end with credit and creditors and the fact that creditors cannot and will not take into consideration of extenuating circumstances such as lay offs, plus the fact that collection agencies and other agents of creditors have in the past and continue to destroy people's lives and ability to acheive things because of whats on a report, I am forced to say that the concept of credit reports should be done away with. I say credit reporting should be outlawed. I say if one can demonstrate by their annual income that they can pay for something, then they should be able to have access to that good or service, period, no checks, no reports, no ifs ands or buts about it. The matter of whom one owes money to is a matter between the debtor and the entity whom the money is owed, no one else. If the creditor wants their money they can take it up with the debtor, and if the debtor pays even one cent on the account, it must be accepted and applied, no excuses. I say there should be a four year time limit on any actions to collect, if not done in that time, the matter is dropped, period. Does anyone else share this view? I'm tired of people judging me on events I had no control over, and as a result, unless I pay it in cash, no home ownership, no car, in some cases, no job. For this, I believe credit reporting should be outlawed, whom I owe money to and what I'm doing to resolve it is a matter between the creditor and myself.
