at&t Universal

i have an at&t universal on all 3 of my CRs with a bal of 6329. Opened in 9/93 last activity(payment) 05/99. I have not heard a word from them about this account but i want to buy a house and i obviously need to do something with it.

i have disputed it two times with each CRA with no success.

has anyone ever sought and recieved a settlement with them?

should i dispute it directly with them before i offer to pay anything .

or can anyone offer me any suggestions on what is a reasonable % to offer to pay in exchange for complete removal.
