Since CAMCO is in a two-party consent state - IL, you tell them up fron that your are recording the call and that continuing the conversation is consenting to be taped.

The original tapes - transcribe the conversation into written notes (you are a meticulous note-taker now, hehe). Continue to document each call (they won't last long if you say you want to tape them).

Re the time of the call, file a complaint with your local phone company.

These records can go with your written communications to back up your lawsuit if you wind up in court, whether you sue them or they sue you.
