If you received a letter from a company identifying itself as "SCAMCO" on its letterhead, would you

Toss it in the trash unopened

Send it unopened to the FTC or various AGs

Open it, read it, and laugh or cry as suits your personality

Because any such letter WILL be from a debt collector.

Making an offer the collector hopes you won't refuse, because our competitors tend to be a little ruthless.

Upon learning that debt collectors may operate a separate business as CREDIT REPORTING AGENCIES, the mystery of how come derogatory entries, etc., and current info on solvency, etc., MAY be coming to various agencies on the QT, with resultant derogatory reports to major CRAs.

Also NOTICED that there something is missing in this endless food chain. A way to STOP ALL activity dead, for keeps, the remedy is simple but not necessarily EASY.
