On 7/1999 i was in default $1,300. My dispute was filed early in the year 1999. Providian sent a signed receipt but it was a double billing-there should have been 2 receipts,no ?(I am trying to dig up my paperwork but I moved last year- in NY and i'm missing a lot of stuff) NOT GOOD! I called providian to request my statements pre 2000 but was told they have nothing to do with my account. I guess i will try and argue the motion on my own merits-how much can the court award over the judgement if i lose ? Must i serve answering papers ? or can I just go to court on the date they set for place of motion ? I just got notice of motion and I dont have time to prepare response. Thank you,
