With a bk filing, comes an automatic stay issued by a Federal Judge. Once a debt is discharged, that same Federal Judge says the debt is dead. Rule #1. Do not mess with a Federal Judge!

SOL debt at the state level is different. It can be legally collected if the debtor doesn't show up in court and fight. And. we've seen in MO. that doesn't always work. There is just very little case law against collecting on SOL debt at the state level.
