Are you sure the call is coming from the Original Creditor ? If you had a debt THAT old that you hadn't paid on in 7 years, it would have been written off as a bad debt 6-1/2 years ago and sent to a collection agency.

Depending on your state, its a possibility that the statute of limitations has run out and you don't have to pay it anyway. Where do you live ?
