I would send your letters for settlement to the ORIGINAL CREDITOR! Just because it's in collection, doesn't mean you have to deal with them, especially if your making a good-faith attempt to work out a solution and they are not responding.

I would probably call the Original Creditor ASAP, it will make you feel alot better.
