If you want to stop them from hassling you, and you are sure it is past SOL, it is a good letter to adapt to your situation.By this I mean do not take ANY "form letter: and use it exactly as shown. If they have no lawyer involved -remove the part about reporting to the State Bar, if they have not actually threatened you with legal action, omit the part about criminal penalties for extortion. If there are other circumstances, like having no license to collect in your State,or if you are over 60 or disabled,you can throw in "and whatever State stautes apply for your mistreatment of (senior citizens- the disabled)"
