I live in Missouri. I started using CCC (Consumer Credit Counseling) in early 1999 and been sending payments in every since. I have currently paid off 3 of the credit cards to $0 amounts and am now trying to delete them from my credit report or bring the paying status up to a current date. CCC charges me a $10 fee each month and I send them $337 for payments on debts (the $337 includes the $10 fee). I am currently paying the following accounts through CCC: Balances below are current as of August 2002 1. Fleet - Balance:$1267
Paying $92 2. Fleet - Balance:$621
Paying $45 3. First USA - Balance:$576
Paying $35 4. Citifinancial - Balance:$6,000
Paying $128 If I can find out what the original minimum payment would have been with the creditor, would I be better off trying to deal with the creditor directly or continue with CCC? Thank you for any advice you can give me.
