Man, what is it with law offices. I was told by a guy that called me and was being abusive that he didn't have to follow the fair debt and reporting act because he is not a bill collector. I spoke with a local attorney on a free consultation who about fell out of her chair. She gave me that look and said I wish you could have gotten that on tape. Unfortunately I have no way of doing that. I think your best bet is to look in the yellow pages to find an attorney that does a free consultation for credit or contact your local Attorney Generals office for advice. Even Consumer Credit Counseling might be able to give you some adive on that one. Of coarse you will need to schedual an appointment. I can't believe that an attorney would be so ignorant to request such a thing. Where are they from Georgia?
