Read the contract, see what it says about moving out of the service area and early cancelation. If it is THEIR phone,check to see about what the cost is.
Then send a letter to the cell phone co. LEGAL DEPT, explain the circumstances,state that you are NOT requesting any refund of the xtra months you paid without service, BUT you require they cancel the contract, reverse all "collection activities" remove it from the ca it was assigned to and make sure there is NO adverse information placed in your credit report. Advise them that you have been made aware of the Tx. rules and regulations covering this situation, and trust that they wlll accomodate your situation without your having to take any further action.(make sure the letter is from your husband,not you, as he was the account holder)
