You don't have to pay it. They are past the
statute of limitations. Another responder
mentioned they can collect for 20 years in some
states. A lawyer friend told me that is not the
case at all. Camco finds you by doing a credit
check. Seeing where your latest credit has been,
calls directory assistance, gets a number of phone
numbers which might be you, and dials and dials
and dials. They are a scam. Don't pay them. Notice
how they're just outside of Chicago? That's so the
City Attorney of Chicago can't go after them. But
hopefully the State Attorney General will someday
go after them, for what I think are multiple
violations
