I have received several calls (some of them disturbing) concerning a Visa account supposedly delinquent on my husbands credit. The amount they gave me all three times was $10,000, and they say that even though they don't have the right SS # that they can still hold it to my husbands credit. This card is aparently a Visa card account opened in 1995, under a name with the same given name, middle initial, and sir name. All times I have communicated with these people they ask for personal info like address, and his social security number. When I refuse to lend out that info they get angry and beligerant and call me names. I have reasearched MCM on-line, and contacted my AG's office to have a copy of a complaint report sent out. They strangest part of all of this is that my husband has NEVER in his life owned a credit card in his life. After the rep asks for my husbands social I tell them to tell me what the number is. Once they gave me the middle two digits and once the last four. Not even close to his at all. The address they have is way across the state where neither of us has ever lived. What is going on here? Did they just pick a name similar to my husbands out of a phone book or what? I intend to sent them a letter stating that all coresspondance must end, or will seek charges against them for attempted extortion and harrassment, especially since one of these calls was received after 9pm our time. What else can I do to protect our family from these evil, and extremly bored people who sport bad jokes, and apparently need a life outside of the office? A litte Prosac might so them some good as well! Thanks in advance, Pixie
