There is case-law that exempts communications from lawyers referring to a pending lawsuit from being considered a violation of FDCPA rules about no COLLECTION ACTIVITIES after a cease and desist. Please remember, a request for validation or verification on an account is NOT a cease and desist,and it is NOT a dispute. The ONLY purpose of a request for validation is to have the CA show that they are entitled to try to collect on the account,and entitled to report it to CRA's.
