Something fishy about this.
If you have a "good" credit record, it means this account is not ON your credit report any more.
Student loans, unlike other tyoes of derogatory information, stay on your report forever.Unless they have been properly taken care of. Send them a dispute/ validation/ cease and desist. This could not have been a quaified student loan, so whatever it was is LONG past any possible legal action on their part.
