I am not knowledgable about student loans,I therefore have left the questions on that subject on this forum to those more qualified to answer.

I have, on one occasion looked up and posted the FCRA exemption of student loans from the 7 year reporting rule, and have posted a link to student loan information on my website.

I donot believe I said a student loan had to be paid in full to be removed from a credit report,I said completely taken care of.

I referred in my comment to my understanding of this explanation;

Your options for bettering your credit report include: repay or satisfy the loan in full;  consolidate your loan through the FFEL loan consolidation program or the William D. Ford Direct Loan Program; or rehabilitate your loan through our loan rehabilitation program.

If you want all negative credit reports made by the Department to be removed from your credit record, you must successfully complete our loan rehabilitation program.

My response to the "15 year" poster had to do with the concern that this WAS NOT a student loan, but an attempt from a scam ca to scare her.

I understand your annoyance at not having immediate and complete attention to every question you post,it is endemic to youth.
